The Deep Massage synergy blend from Canyon Zen consist of 10 different essential oils, each helping with muscles, joints pain and tension, helps relieve inflammation and can also help with headaches and discomfort.

If the pain is intense, you can do a 50/50 mix (or follow the Essential Oils Dilution Guide below) with a carrier oil, like jojoba, sweet almond or any others that work for your skin type, and do a deep massage for few minutes and let the oils do the rest. For a more relaxing experience apply it after a hot shower or bath.

Lavender

• Relieves pain and inflammation and helps to bring relaxation and calm.

• Precaution and safety: Non-toxic, non-irritant and non-sensitizing.

Eucalyptus Radiata

• Has a cooling effect on muscles, reduces pain and inflammation.

• Precaution and safety: Externally non-toxic, non-irritant (diluted) and non-sensitizing.

Rosemary

• Eases pain and inflammation.

• Precaution and safety: Avoid during pregnancy. Not to be used by epileptics. Non-toxic, non-irritant, non-sensitizing.

Perppermint

• Contains menthol which has a cooling effect on sore, achy muscles. Peppermint is also an analgesic, antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory.

• Precaution and safety: Avoid during pregnancy and breast feeding. Non-toxic, non-irritant and possible sensitization due to menthol.

Marjoram

• Relaxes muscle spasms and tension and it is known for easing pain and inflammation.

• Precaution and safety: Non-toxic, non-irritant, non-sensitizing. Avoid during pregnancy.

Cypress

• Calms and relaxes muscles spasms and sooth inflammation.

• Precaution and safety: Best avoided during pregnancy and while breast feeding. Non-toxic, non-irritant and non-sensitizing.

Pepper Black

• Alleviates pain by warming up the body.

• Precaution and safety: May cause irritation on highly sensitive skins. Non-toxic, non-sensitizing.

Clary Sage

• Alleviates muscle tension and spasms while promoting relaxation.

• Precaution and safety: Best avoided during pregnancy, especially during first trimester or when using on abdomen, because it can cause uterine contractions. Non-toxic, non-irritant, non-sensitizing.

Pine

• Reduces inflammation, alleviate muscles pain.

• Precaution and safety: May cause irritation on highly sensitive skin or skin prone to allergic reactions. Best avoided by those with respiratory problems. Non-toxic, non-irritant.

Chamomile Roman

• Can help with pain and inflammation and soothe muscle tension and reduce spasms.

• Precaution and safety: Non-toxic, non-irritant; can cause dermatitis (inflammation of the skin) in some individuals.

Essential Oils Dilution Guide

If you want to use the essential oil on your skin, it is important you dilute the oil properly. Remember few drops of essential oil go a long way. For better absorption it is best to apply the essential oils on a clean skin free of sebum.

• For infants: 1 drop of essential oil to 1 tablespoon of carrier oil.

• For children: 1 to 2 drops of essential oil to 1 teaspoon of carrier oil.

• For adults: 3 to 6 drops of essential oil to 1 teaspoon of carrier oil.
